It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Cst. Bob Lacroix this evening. Thank you again to everyone who helped out with the fundraiser and ticket sales. You all played a special part in making the last few months as good as they could possibly be. Our sincerest thank yous to all of you.

The North Cowichan Duncan RCMP Detachment is undergoing a Fundraising effort to raise money for Cst Robert Lacroix and his young family.
Cst. Robert Lacroix, a member with the Sidney RCMP has been recently diagnosed with terminal cancer (Angiosarcoma), with a prognosis of 8-12 weeks. Bob is in his late 30's, married with four small children (ages 3, 5, 6, &11). One of Bob's dreams has always been to take his children to Disneyland, and as an avid Disney fan, to see Walt Disney's original vision. Now that Bob's time is short we are raising funds to fulfill his dream of a lasting, positive family memory with his children.
In an attempt to raise money for this very worthwhile cause the North Cowichan Duncan RCMP Detachment will be holding a Beer and Burger night, with the date to be confirmed. However if you would like to help now, you can purchase a raffle ticket with all proceeds going to the family. These raffle tickets are $20.00 each and the top prize is Tickets for Two to ANYWHERE Westjet flies!! Westjet graciously donated these tickets and will look after the fare and ALL taxes associated. The second prize is a Two Night Stay at the Black Rock Resort in Ucluelet. Both of these prizes are incredible and we thank our sponsors for this generous donation.
The draw for these amazing prizes will take place on May 6th, so get your tickets fast as I am sure they will sell out!!
